Body Language - 1992 ****

Obsessed woman becomes dangerous when she tries to take over her boss's life, as well as her boyfriend. It's been likened to 'Single White Female' although I would say that's at a push, because it's no way near as creepy as that.
Betsy is in a job she loves, but it's also a job that has a huge responsibility and takes up a lot of her spare time, much to the annoyance of her partner. Norma is her assistant, wide-eyed and eager to help her with anything she needs, which turns out to be spying on her boyfriend, cancelling Betsy's dates with him, and generally making life awkward so that he eventually leaves her. She then swoops in on him, masquerading as a stood up woman also named Betsy, and he falls for her, at first...
Not a bad movie. Worth a view.

Obsessed - 1992 *** 1/2

I must admit I have a certain fondness for movies regarding obsessive people/relationships. I have been on the receiving end of an obsessed ex partner and it's very scary, but it doesn't stop me enjoying films of the same topic, safe in the knowledge that it never got this far.
Shannen Doherty is pretty good in this actually, before she shot to fame in the 'Charmed' series.
She plays a young lady who becomes infatuated with an older man, and when he decides to call time on the relationship, she turns nasty.
I suppose as the cover says, it is a bit like 'Fatal Attraction' although of course that takes the number 1 title of most obsessive movie.

Rubberneck - 2012 ****

A weird name for this eerie thriller, but worth a watch nonetheless. A socially awkward scientist has a one night stand with one of his colleagues but cannot seem to let go, even after months have gone by. When he sees that she is taking an interest in a new member of the department, he becomes obsessed, and his internal rage gets the better of him.
A nervous and unsettling film. Not well known but good anyway.
