'Another Life' is a film that I have wanted to see for a long time. As I have a great interest in the Edith Thompson/Freddie Bywaters murder case in the 1920s it was imperative that I watch this film based on it.
Edith Thompson is a bored housewife living with her uninspiring and stuffy husband Percy. She dreams of travelling around the world but is quashed by ever demanding Percy who believes her place is in the home only. Enter Freddie Bywaters, an attractive, mysterious and daring young man who immediately steals Edith's heart. Before long they are both plotting to get rid of Percy, at any cost possible.
Well acted, painful to watch and very moving.
