This, as stated in many reviews was actually a bit of a let down, especially with two big stars in the lead roles. One would be forgiven for thinking that it would be an excellent 'home invasion' movie.
Nicholas Cage must be about 80 now and certainly acts like it. Nicole Kidman used to be one of my favourite actresses but has let the side down badly now. Both characters had almost no appeal or chemistry with each other, and Cage's awful wimpish attitude to his family when asked to give up his money or they will be shot is appalling.
The same scene seems to be replayed over and over again with Cage giving that moronic look to Kidman and Kidman wailing and screaming and tripping over in her rush to fling herself on top of him.
It's pretty obvious what is going to happen.
