(HORROR) Open Graves - 2009 *

A sort of poor version of 'Final Destination' where each main character is doomed and cannot cheat death that comes in the form of a dragonfly.
In Spain a group of friends stumble upon an eerie board game of Mambo, which curses all who play it. None of them believe it however, and of course horrific things start happening. Pretty poor offering really, even with the beautiful Eliza Dushku.

(HORROR) AB Negative - 2006 *

A hideously bad movie. Badly made, ridiculous plot and horrible camera work that seemed to make everything worse. The idea of harvesting human organs is quite a delicate subject but was (excuse the pun) mercilessly butchered here. I might recommend this movie to my worst enemy to waste their time, but no one else.

(HORROR) The Tortured - 2009 **

This started off in a promising way, but then progressed into a horrific mixture of Saw and Hostel. A young couple look for payback on the man who kidnapped and murdered their son. They do this by kidnapping him when he is being held in a police car and taking him to the basement of their house where they proceed to torture him to within an inch of his life. Nothing much else happens. Except a really awful ending that was quite upsetting. I liked the build-up at the beginning where the events of the kidnapping unfold etc but actually when you get down to the basics of what happens next it's just plain unpleasant. Erika Christensen is good though but Jesse Metcalfe isn't.
