The City under the City.
This film is renowned for being a film noir buff's dream. It's got everything - gangsters, jewels, dames, Marilyn Monroe and beautifully shot scenes. Sterling Hayden is very memorable as Dix, one of the leaders of a Bank Robbery that goes wrong and Jean Hagen ( Lena from Singin' in the Rain before her voice went high!!) is great as the naiive gangster's moll caught up with him. Marilyn is in this movie very briefly but is great as well and you can see the makings of the world's most famous star.
