Growing up isn't all perfect.I've read all the books in this series and was eager to see how they had been compressed into just one movie. My verdict is that I found it an enjoyable experience but I don't think overall it was as funny or clever as the books made out. The character of Georgia is great, very real and very honest, she is every teenage girl as she discovers boys, looses friends and gets embarrassed by her parents. I would recommend the books though, not this movie.
