Asylum - 2008

Once you're in you can never get out.

I must say that the idea of a university being haunted by a terrifying doctor who walks the grounds unaware that the place is no longer a mental asylum is a bit creepy for me. For one I love haunted films and second of all I adore films to do with asylums so I figured this was going to be brilliant. In fact it was not to be. Just an excuse to see close ups of the psychotic doctor sticking needles into the eyes of his patients, hoping to 'take their suffering away.' There were a lot of flashbacks regarding the group of students that we follow in the story as to what happened in their childhoods and these simply involved lots more blood and stabbing. Awful film.
