Hammer Horror's: The Nanny - 1965

She couldn't hurt a fly...
Bette Davis in the 60s was a sort of stereotypical psychopath, playing in films like this, Hush Hush, and Whatever Happened..so after seeing the other 2 I sort of knew what to expect from her. However this film really infuriated me, no because of her, but because of the 10 year old boy played by William Dix. His performance has been credited as fantastic but I saw nothing in it but a typical, spoilt boy, so in that sense he wasn't even acting! Davis wasn't as strong as in her other roles and I wouldn't have said that she stood out too much which was a shame.
