Hammer Horror's: Dracula, Prince of Darkness - 1965

Different story, same legend.
I really enjoyed this unique take on the legend of Dracula. Hammer Horror normally do well at producing a decent thrill or two and they didn't disappoint here. I admire Christopher Lee immensely as an actor and he is really chilling here as the blood-thirsty Count who can only be awakened with the blood of visitors to his castle. Part of the fun of watching Hammer Horror productions is that you know there will be an element of comedy because of the sets or the actors. It is strangely comforting to know this and you tend to look out for it in each movie. However this is a haunting movie that will be great for a cosy Saturday afternoon.
Rating 4/5
